Care Groups

Christian Support for Caregivers (formerly Living with Dementia)

Are you a caregiver for a loved one with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other major illness? We invite you to join us for Christian support, prayer, and encouragement geared toward the unique needs of those dealing with these difficult issues. Bethel now has two Christian Support for Caregivers groups. All who are supporting those with a major long-term illness are welcome to attend either or both sessions. Groups meet as follows:

  • The first Monday of every month, we meet from 1:00-2:15 pm at Waldenbrooke.
  • The third Wednesday of every month, we meet at Watercrest in Bryan from 2:00-3:15 pm.

Living With Grief

Help for Those Dealing with Grief

We will be hosting a biblical study for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one following a nationally recognized curriculum sponsored by GriefShare. This program is designed to encourage us to look at our loss and its impact on our lives from God's perspective. We will learn that grief is a natural response to the loss of a loved one and that there is relief, purpose, and joy in the future.

There are 13-weekly sessions based on video, bible study, and discussion in which we learn to accept and manage our feelings, emotions, and change in our lives. You are invited to attend as many sessions as you like and are under no obligation to attend all sessions. Please join us for an upbeat and refreshing understanding of what God has done for us and his plan for our lives.

Bethel Lutheran Church's Mission is declaring the Gospel to those who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, calling them into faith, while sharing and strengthening the faith of our members and fellow believers.
